Adding, Removing, Reordering, & Re-sizing Columns

You can add, remove, reorder, and re-size the columns in your table.

Adding Columns

Below is the CiiRUS Bookings Manager table. Currently, it only displays the Depart and Arrival dates of bookings for a particular property.

If we want to show the name of the guest for each booking as well, then we must add the "Name" column to the table...

  1. Click on the Column Chooser Icon to the left of the Bookings Manager Window to open the Column Chooser. (The Column Chooser window is a floating window and can be moved to any part of the screen.)
  1. Drag the "Name" from the list of column categories.

This will insert your column into the table. This window will remain open, so you may add more columns if you wish. To close, click on the red "x" in the upper right hand corner.

Your column has been added!

You can now view the names associated with each booking.

Resizing Columns

Below, notice how the "Arrive" column takes up most of the table. This can become a problem if we wish to add more columns and view multiple categories at once. Now, we will resize the columns to better fit the data...

1.) Hover your cursor over the line that divides the "Arrive" and "Name" column titles. Notice that the cursor turns into a two sided arrow.

Reordering Columns

Notice in the table below that we have four columns: Depart, Arrive, Name, and Total Amt. When looking at booking information, its typical to display the name of the guest first, then the arrival and departure dates (respectively), and finally the booking amount.

In this section we are going to reorder our columns.

1.) Click and hold the top of the "Name" column.

Removing Columns

Below is a table with several columns in view. In this section, we are going to remove the Total Amount column, as we don't need it at the moment.

Click on the Column Chooser Icon to the left of the Bookings Manager Window to open the Column Chooser. (The Column Chooser window is a floating window and can be moved to any part of the screen.)

Click and hold the top of the "Total Amn" column and drag it in to the  "Column Chooser" Window.
